For the month of September we decided to peruse our cookbooks for some of our signature drinks! Prior to joining the Cookbook Committee I often only leaned on my cookbooks for entertaining with food. The more I’ve flipped through and studied these cookbooks inside and out I’ve realized that I’ve been missing out on all of the drink recipes included! Although it is not fall in Florida quite yet, we often try to get the feeling of the season going throughout September and hope that it actually becomes a reality by the end of the month! I decided to kick off fall by inviting some of my girlfriends over to start the evening with Appletini’s! As many all of us had enjoyed some sort of variation of an Appletini before, the overall consensus was that this recipe was refreshing and not overpowering. To add to the refreshing taste, you can thinly slice green apples to be served alongside your signature drink!
Appletini from The Life of the Party
2 ounces apple schnapps
2 ounces premium vodka
Splash of applejack
Combine the apple schnapps, vodka, applejack and ice in a cocktail shaker; cover. Shake vigorously and strain into chilled martini glasses.
Yield: 2 servings
