Women Building a Better Community: The Junior League of Tampa
Today as throughout our history, The Junior League of Tampa commits 100% of the net proceeds from our fundraising efforts to our community projects and our volunteer and leadership training programs. Our membership dues support our administrative costs. In 2009-2010, The Junior League of Tampa raised more than $325,000 for our community programs and projects through our Annual Campaign, Holiday Gift Market, grants, and cookbook sales.
Founded in 1926, The Junior League of Tampa focuses on providing children and their families with opportunities and services essential for their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social well-being. We are committed to:
- Improving the lives of children in the foster care system
- Enriching children’s lives through literacy and education
- Providing basic needs for disadvantaged children
In 2009-2010, The Junior League of Tampa invested $250,000, contributed over 60,000 volunteer hours, and impacted over 17,000 lives in our community.
